Libertarian activists led a year of heavy public outreach at numerous events across the state, introducing folks from all sides of the spectrum to our party and our live-and-let-live philosophy of liberty. Those who volunteered found that getting active for liberty can be a lot of fun!
The gold Libertarian flag flew at the Scott County Fair, Nicollet County Fair, Washington County Fair, and East Ottertail County Fair. The week-long outreach at the Minnesota State Fair was the LPMN’s first appearance at the fairgrounds in several years and was met with an overwhelming reaction, with 700 people signing up to learn more. The LPMN attracted a large crowd as usual at Twin Cities Pride in Minneapolis, and also appeared at St Cloud Pride, showing a predominantly liberal-leaning crowd that they have an alternative to the DFL in support of personal freedom. The LPMN also appeared at this spring’s Tax Cut Rally at the Capitol, as well as numerous firearms shows, showing traditionally conservative-leaning crowds that they have a pro-freedom alternative to the GOP. Appearances were also made at some college campuses and other events.
It was a full schedule in 2013, surpassing even last year’s efforts. Big thanks to all our activists who volunteered to staff these events!
