Op-Ed by Chris Holbrook, Libertarian candidate for Governor:

It’s disappointing when a great independent voice and former leader of the anti-establishment movement sells out and endorses the two-party establishment. WIINO (Was-Independent-In-Name-Only) Tom Horner has recently been trying to convince us that Jeff Johnson and his big government GOP solutions are what Minnesota needs (“Johnson’s leadership will benefit state,” Sept. 29). The opposite is true. Apparently, Libertarians are the only ones left to offer smaller-government solutions.

In his article, Horner takes apart his own supposed belief, stated in the first line, that he believes in solutions outside of partisanship. He becomes little more than a GOP attack dog, deriding Gov. Mark Dayton’s tax policy, while offering only that Johnson has “thoughtful tax policies” instead. Where are the simple and bold approaches of shrinking government, reducing the budget and eliminating some taxes for each person so that they can keep more of their money?
