Announcing the Libertarian Party of MN’s Rainbow Rifle Team

LPMN_RainbowRifleTeam3

Our libertarian activists and members work hard outside the hallowed halls of power to educate and articulate to the public on what a libertarian society would look like and how it would function if our elected officials legislated in

a libertarian fashion. With all the talk of NEW taxes and spending needed to save our state, this session lacks any real discussion of libertarian ideas for solving the depression/recession cycle that has gripped our country. But there is a silver lining to the whole mess of legislation coming from the state capitol.

The Libertarian Party of MN is proud to announce the creation of the LPMN Rainbow Rifle team! These sitting legislators have shown a commitment on two keys issues of Libertarianism, namely Marriage Equality and Firearms Freedom. We compiled vote and authorship information from the last two years and located those individual legislators who stood tall on these important issues. (Note: weight has been given to past votes over promises to vote.)

These individuals have stood firmly against the attempt to further codify inequality into state law and to allow people to live their lives according to their own wishes. Libertarians whether hidden in the legislature or out on the pavement making change understand that decentralized, community-based solutions will always outperform and better serve the interest of Minnesotans. We know that the ability to marry whom you’d like and the human right to self-defense is part of the freedom package.
