December 4, 2013

It’s the holiday season and we at the LPMN want to thank you for your support, especially to those who
became members, donated, or took the time to volunteer for the sake of freedom. Thank you again, we truly appreciate it!

We also want you to know there’s an easy way to contribute to our efforts to cap off 2013, and it’s at no cost to you! Since the LPMN is one of Minnesota’s five officially-recognized state parties, we’re eligible for the Political Contribution Refund (PCR) program.

It’s an opportunity to contribute to the LPMN at a time when we need to raise as much money as we can. Right now, we’re building up for a big push to gain major-party status in 2014. It will be a significant undertaking, so we’re getting started today. Funds raised from PCR donations will go toward petitioning to get our statewide candidates on the ballot, and advertising on behalf of those candidates. Would you like to help us with these efforts, especially since using the PCR program comes at no cost to you?

Libertarians should not be reluctant to take advantage of this program. You’ve already paid a lot of money to the state through your income taxes, sales tax, property tax, and many other taxes and fees. Politicians would love to spend that money on their favorite programs, but now you have a chance to redirect a small portion of it toward the Libertarian Party. We’re going to be advocating getting the state out of these areas and suggesting voluntary, liberty-minded, free-market alternatives instead. Would you prefer for the legislators and bureaucrats to spend your money, or would you rather help us educate the public on why there are better alternatives to state involvement? The choice is yours. (More written here as well: Political Aikido: Turning the State on the State).

To participate in the PCR program, just follow the easy steps on this page: https://www.lpmn.org/political-contribution-program/.

We wish you a happy holiday season with family and friends, and we welcome you to join us for our Libertarian Holiday Party on Dec 28 in Eden Prairie. It’ll be a great time to get to know the party leadership, 2014 candidates, and of course to meet old and new friends in the liberty movement. And we promise, there won’t be political speeches. We look forward to your support in our run-up to the 2014 elections — we can’t do it without YOU!
