Old Parties collude on budget deal to put Americans deeper in debt

The White House, along with Democratic and Republican politicians in Congress, released a budget deal on October 26 that throws more cash at Big Government programs and raises the debt. It also subverts the budget caps established by the Budget Control Act of 2011 by upping them by $80 billion and by throwing an additional $59 billion into a Pentagon slush fund.

Many people may not realize it, but Minnesota has the most restrictive election practices of any state in our region. The LPMN is now pushing to change that, by coordinating a six-party coalition to lobby for a more free and open election process, meeting with the Secretary of State ... with more action to come.

It depends what you mean by “legal”

No, marijuana is NOT legal in Minnesota. When the law is so restrictive that less than 300 patients qualify in the entire state, and some who do still choose the black market, it's not legal. At the rate our "Legalize It" shirts were flying off the shelves at the State Fair, many Minnesotans get this. The DFL and GOP legislators do not.

Fair-goers crave Freedom on a Stick

Another State Fair has come to a close, and the 2015 version of the Great Minnesota Get-Together was a huge success for the Libertarian Party of Minnesota. Our “Freedom on a Stick” slogan was extremely popular, with hundreds of people taking photos of our banner. Our booth had nearly four times the traffic compared to last year, and we had over 1,500 people sign up to be on our information contact list.
