Speakers Bureau

The Libertarian Party of Minnesota is pleased to offer distinguished libertarian speakers who can appear at your club meeting, civics class, public debate, or be interviewed for your news story.  If you would like to book a libertarian speaker for your event, please contact Diana Robinette at dlrobinette@yahoo.com.

The LPMN is seeking additional experienced speakers to give speeches and presentations to promote the causes of personal liberty, a free marketplace, and limited government. Audiences may vary from schoolchildren to senior citizens to media. To be considered as a speaker, please use the Speakers Bureau Sign-up form.

Below are our available speakers and the topics they specialize in:

Mary O'Connor

Mary O'Connor has been a Libertarian for 10 years. She has been Treasurer of the Libertarian Party of Minnesota for about 5 years. She was elected to City Council in Brooklyn Center and served from 2005 to 2008. She has run for many offices over the last 11 years. She worked 39 years for the University of Minnesota, and is now retired. O'Connor wrote a paper on solving the healthcare problem in the United States and sent it to many elected officials. She has an interest in reducing government, making taxes fair, and rightsizing public education.

Randal Allen Andersen III

Randal Allen Andersen III is a ... computer programmer? Nope, that's just how he's kept up his paltry existence. Though he's darn good at that, it hasn't fueled his true passions. That's why you haven't heard of him before. His true passion is liberty. His avocation is public speaking which he learned through ToastMasters International, serving as his club's president for one exciting year. His wife sometimes calls him "weird" (lovingly). That's because he thinks differently. He thinks as a purist Libertarian, and can talk to you about Freedom and Liberty, Change, Rights, and the American Way. The world is waking up to the ideals of freedom and discovering what libertarians and classical liberals have always been saying. That is what he will share with you.

Tylor James Slinger

Tylor James Slinger is the College Campus Coordinator for the Libertarian Party of Minnesota. He has previously worked as the head of both college and statewide student organizations, served on state advisory committees, and testified before legislative subcommittees regarding educational issues. Slinger is the author of "The Making of a Psychological Defense", a paper on the cognitive issues facing criminal defendants. He has presented on issues including U.S. drug policy, bias against defendants, and extending the rights of children. He has also spoken at student forums about the libertarian viewpoint on the Minnesota Marriage Amendment, and in public debates during his campaign for St. Paul City Council.  His formal education is in the field of Psychology.
