With your help, Minnesota could become the 14th state to legalize medical marijuana

Bills have been introduced in both the MN House (H.F. 292) and Senate (S.F. 97). Several committees will have to take action before the bills reach the floor. On Feb. 11th, the Minnesota Senate Health, Housing and Family Security Committee voted 8-3 in favor of S.F. 97. This is only the first in a series of committee votes in both chambers of the legislature, so it's important that you contact your senators and representatives now and let them know that you support this legislation.

LPMN speaks to home-schoolers again

On Feb. 3rd, Charles Test and Bob Smith were invited back to present libertarianism to a Civics class of home-schoolers in Eden Prairie.

LPMN speaks to SPCPA classes

On Oct. 22nd and 23rd, Bob Smith and Charles Test presented issues and positions of the Libertarian Party to political science students of the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Arts.

Hans Larson, Liberty Center volunteer

The Liberty Center will be open more than usual. Hans Larson, Volunteer Coordinator, will be there Monday through Friday from about 1 PM until about 6 PM.

Barr/Root on the ballot in Minnesota

LPMN has received official notification that Bob Barr and Wayne Allyn Root have been successfully placed on the ballot. Big thanks to all those who helped with petitioning!

LPMN completes petition drive

State Chair Bob Odden and Treasurer Mary O'Connor delivered 3,023 petition signatures to the Minnesota Secretary of State. 2,000 are required to place Bob Barr's name on the ballot.
