WHAT'S DISC GOLF?
Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc. A golf disc is thrown from a tee area to a target which is the "hole". The holes are elevated metal baskets. There are trees, shrubs, terrain and other challenging obstacles to make the game exciting. Finally, the "putt" lands in the basket and the hole is completed. Disc golf shares the same joys and frustrations of traditional golf, whether it's sinking a long putt or hitting a tree halfway down the fairway.
QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS EVENT
How long is the course? 12 holes, about a half mile long, and should take roughly 1 hour.
What if I don't know how to play? We'll have players who can help you along the way.
Can I come to the event and not play? Absolutely. If you don't want to play, please join us for a walk in this beautiful park.
What is the cost?
This event is free but there is a suggested donation of $10 per person.
Do I need a disc?
Discs will be provided for free. After the event please join us for a late lunch to be determined after the game. Lunch is optional.

Directions - Staring Lake Park - 14800 Pioneer Trail in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
From the North: Take 494 S to Hwy 5 West. Take Hwy 5 W for .5 miles to Prairie Center Drive. Take a right, (south) on Prairie Center Drive for 1.5 miles or so to Hwy 212 (Flying Cloud Drive). Take a right on Hwy 212 W for 3 miles or so to Pioneer Trail (Cty. Rd. 1). Take a right on Pioneer Trail. Staring Lake Park is on Pioneer Trail on your right.
From Crosstown Hwy 62: Exit onto Hwy 212 West (Flying Cloud Drive). take Hwy 212 W 4 miles to Pioneer Trail (Cty. Rd. 1). Take a right on Pioneer Trail. Staring Lake Park is on Pioneer Trail on your right.
From the East: Take Hwy 494 W. Exit onto Hwy 212 West (Flying Cloud Drive). take Hwy 212 W 4 miles to Pioneer Trail (Cty. Rd. 1). Take a right on Pioneer Trail. Staring Lake Park is on Pioneer Trail on your right.
From the South: Take Hwy 169 North to Pioneer Trail (Cty. Rd. 1). Take a left onto Pioneer Trail. Take Pioneer Trail for 4 miles or so to Hwy. 212 (Flying Cloud Drive). Cross Hwy 212. Staring Lake Park is on Pioneer Trail on your right.
